Composition
100 ml of the product contains:
- active substance- povidone-iodine 10.0 g. (in terms of active iodine - 1.0 g);
- excipients -purified water.
Pharmaceutical form
Spray for external and topical use 0.01% 50 ml, 100 ml.

Indications
- antiseptic treatment in the prevention and treatment of infections.
Contraindications
- hypersensitivity to iodine or other components of the product;
- hyperthyroidism;
- other acute diseases of the thyroid gland;
- decompensated heart failure;
- concomitant use of radioactive iodine;
- dermatitis herpetiformis;
- pregnancy and lactation period;
- children under 6 years of age.
The product is used with caution in patients with renal failure.
Posology and method of administration
Povidone iodine-DF solution is intended for external use.
The solution is not intended for oral administration!
To treat infected skin and mucous membranes, spray Povidon-iodine-DF on the affected areas in an amount sufficient to moisten them and leave for 1-2 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
The spray is sprayed on the palms of the hands in an amount sufficient to moisten them, rubbed to the elbow for 5 minutes, then thoroughly rinsed, the procedure is repeated twice. For treating the hands of surgeons and lactating staff
When treating wounds, burns, bacterial and fungal skin lesions to prevent and treat wound infections in surgery, traumatology, combustiology, dentistry affected areas are irrigated with the spray (for 1-2 seconds) and thoroughly washed off.
In the treatment of stomatitis, gingivitis, aphthae, paradontitis, alveolitis it is necessary to irrigate the inflamed oral mucosa or apply a swab soaked in the product. The procedure is performed several times a day.
Children and adolescents of 6 to 18 years of age:
- In the treatment of stomatitis, gingivitis, aphthae, paradontitis, alveolitis only application to the inflamed oral mucosa with a swab soaked in the product is necessary.
The duration of use depends on the nature of the disease, its severity and is determined by the doctor.
In the treatment of diseases of the oral cavity the product should be used after meals.
Apply the product carefully, avoiding contact with the respiratory tract!
Side effects
Common:
- allergic reaction to iodine (itching, hyperemia, urticaria);
- rare - a brief burning sensation at the application site or a feeling of dryness in the mouth;
- hypothyroidism (after using large amounts of Povidon-iodine-DF or after prolonged use);
- chemical burns to the skin due to the accumulation of excess solution under the patient in preparation for surgery after using Povidon-iodine-DF in large quantities (e.g., in the treatment of burns);
- electrolyte imbalance;
- metabolic acidosis;
- acute renal failure;
- changes in blood osmolarity.
Rare:
- hypersensitivity;
- contact dermatitis (with symptoms such as erythema, small blisters on the skin, itching).
Very rare:
- anaphylactic reaction;
- hyperthyroidism (sometimes accompanied by symptoms such as tachycardia and anxiety). In patients with a history of thyroid disorders after the use of Povidon-iodine-DF in significant amounts (e.g., after long-term use of povidon-iodine solution to treat wounds and burns over an extensive skin surface);
- angioedema;
- iodism (metallic taste in the mouth, excessive salivation, swelling of the eyes or throat).
Overdose
In the case of accidental ingestion of large quantities. It is recommended that the possibility of developing "iodism" be clarified.
When taking a large amount of the product, it is recommended to take activated charcoal, flush the stomach, artificially induce vomiting
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
None.
Pediatric population
For children and adolescents of 6 to 18 years of age in the treatment of stomatitis, gingivitis, aphthae, paradontitis, alveolitis, it is necessary to apply only to the inflamed oral mucosa with a swab soaked in the product.
Special warnings
The oxidizing properties of Povidon-iodine-DF can corrode metals, while plastic and synthetic materials are generally not sensitive to Povidon-iodine-DF. In some cases there may be a change of color, which usually recovers.
Presentation and package
50 ml, 100 ml of the product in plastic bottles with a spray nozzle and a protective cap.
One bottle with instructions for use in the state and Russian languages are placed in a carton pack.
Storage conditions
Store in a place protected from light, at a temperature below 250С.
