THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS:

  • corneal trauma and dystrophy;

  • cataracts (senile, diabetic, traumatic and radiation);

  • when used topically, taurine penetrates into the environment of the eye, where it has its specific effect;

  • refers to amino acid drugs that stimulate reparative and regenerative processes in retinal diseases of dystrophic nature, traumatic lesions of eye tissues, pathological processes that are accompanied by a sharp violation of the metabolism of these tissues.

Composition

1 ml of the product contains:

  • active substance - taurin 0.04 g.
  • excipients: methyl parahydroxybenzoate, water for injection.

Indications

  • corneal trauma and dystrophy;
  • cataracts (senile, diabetic, traumatic and radiation).

Contraindications

  • hypersensitivity to the components of the product;
  • children or adolescents under 18 years of age;
  • pregnancy and lactation period.

Posology and method of administration

The product is prescribed for adults.

In cataract, Taurin-DF is administered as instillations of 1-2 drops 2-4 times daily for 3 months. The courses are repeated at one-month intervals.

In traumas and dystrophic corneal diseases use in the same doses for 1 month.

Make sure that the tip of the dropper bottle does not come into contact with other objects or surfaces when instilling. Close the dropper bottle tightly with the cap after instillation!

Adverse reactions

Rare:

  • allergic reactions in the form of allergic conjunctivitis caused by individual hypersensitivity to the product components may occur when using the product.

Eye disorders:

  • itchy eyes;
  • conjunctival hyperemia;
  • eye irritation (eye stinging and burning).

Overdose

There is no evidence of product overdose.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding

Clinical studies of Taurine-DF use in pregnant and lactating women have not been conducted, so the product is not prescribed for pregnant and lactating women.

Pediatric population

Do not use in children under 18 years of age.

Special warnings

The medicine contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate, which may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed type, bronchospasm).
Effects on ability to drive and use machines
Does not affect the ability to operate a vehicle or potentially dangerous machinery.

Presentation and package

5 ml or 10 ml of the product in plastic dropper bottles, sealed with tamper-proof caps, or in plastic dropper bottles, sealed with caps. A bottle with instructions for use in the state and Russian languages are placed in a carton pack.

Storage conditions

Store in a place protected from light, at a temperature below 250С.

Keep out of the reach of children.

Shelf life

3 years

After opening the bottle, the period of using the product is 15 days.
